Hey guys, long time no see.
It’s time to talk about my March wrap up. But before I that, I wanted to talk a bit about the books I have read in February.
I read only two books in February, so I decided that a blog post will not be needed. The two books I read were:
Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman: 5/5 stars
Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman: 5/5 stars
February has been a hard month for me personally, so reading the best books I have read in ages in that month kind of got me away from falling into a very long reading slump. However, I did still feel that slump in March (but that could have also been caused by the book I was reading).
In March, I have read 4 and a half book. Which is better than what I’ve read for a while. So I am pretty happy about it. So the books I read in March are:
The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey: 3/5 stars
Beauty and the Beast (novelization) by Elizabeth Rudnick: 5/5 stars
The Selection by Kiera Cass: 5/5 stars
The Elite by Kiera Cass: 5/5 stars
I am also halfway through The One (also by Kiera Cass) and I am loving it. I spent most of the month reading the snow child. It was a beautiful character based story, and the writing was magical. However, I felt that I needed to read a plot based book at this point of time because I felt like I needed something more to happen. I guess it wasn’t the right time for me to read this book. The beauty and the beast story got me back to reading at full speed. So hopefully April will be a great reading month too. As for the selection series, I can see why most people feel it’s their guilty pleasure read. I have absolutely loved the series and think that Kiera Cass is an awesome writer.
Hello my friends,
Since it is now the end of December, it is time to write about my December wrap-up. I have read a total of 6 books and 1 novella.
Here are the books I managed to finish in the month of December:
Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout (4/5 stars)
Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi (4/5 stars)
The Mysterious Mr. Quin by Agatha Christie (3/5 stars)
I Was Here by Gayle Foreman (4/5 stars)
Don’t Even Think About It by Sarah Mlynowski (5/5 stars)
Larger Than Life (Novella) by Jodi Picoult (3/5 stars)
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie (5/5 stars)
I was somewhat disappointed by Furthermore (I forgot to add it to my list yesterday) mainly because I kept comparing it to the Shatter me series which I LOVED.
I believe this has been one of the best reading months this year as I have read so many books. I kept thinking that I was not going to be able to complete my reading challenge this year as it has been my highest goal, but thankfully I got to reach it just in time.
How many books have you managed to read in December?
November has been a very slow reading month for me, even though I have read really great books. The reason for this was because I got into a huge reading slump and was watching the vampire diaries (at least I am nearly going to finish season 5).
Without further ado, here are the books I read with their ratings:
The Midnight Star: 4/5 stars
Obsidian: 5/5 stars
Onyx: 5/5 stars
I have loved all the books I read in November. I was even thinking that I might give all books in the LUX series five stars just because of how addictingly good they are. Although this might change because of the slump I had while reading Opal but I guess I am back on track (over 75% done with the book right now). The great thing about the LUX series is that each two books are combined in one volume (and it’s the cute floppy paperback so their spines stay intact).
I still have to complete 7 books to reach my Goodreads reading goal of 60 books this year. This has been the highest goal I ever put on myself and I really hope to reach it in December.
Hey beautiful people,
Today, I bring you my October 2016 wrap up. I have read a total of *drumroll* 5 BOOKS!!! (Hahahaha it seems like all my wrap ups this year are around 4/5 books each month.)
These books are (in reading order):
City Of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare (5/5 stars)
White Crow by Marcus Sedgwick (1/5 stars)
The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham (4/5 stars)
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness (5/5 stars)
In A Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware (4/5 stars)
I even started The Midnight Star by Marie Lu but I was not able to complete it this month. I really loved all the books I read except For White Crow. I guess it wasn’t for me. You can see my thoughts about each book in my Goodreads account. I have even posted a review of A Monster Calls a few posts back.
